Paul Bennett

Funeral Celebrant – Teignmouth, South Devon

Welcome

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website, I appreciate that you may be doing so at a difficult time.

You may feel that a religious funeral is not an appropriate way to reflect upon the life of your loved one or relevant to the way in which they lived their life.

I therefore specialise in Humanist style funerals to provide a relevant, appropriate and secular send off.

These funerals have been well received, gaining positive feedback from families, undertakers, crematoria staff and general members of the congregation.

I am based in Teignmouth in South Devon and have established links with local Funeral Directors.

I hope you find this website useful, please feel free to contact me directly to discuss your requirements or you may prefer to ask your Funeral Director to do so.

Below I have provided a “Frequently Asked Questions” section and some testimonials which I hope will be useful to your decision making.

We have had lovely comments from friends and family who thought it was a very fitting service for G. We couldn’t have hoped for a more appropriate send off for a unique man.

I can’t thank you enough for the service on Friday. You made it very personal and all the family could relate to the aspects of D’s life that you covered in the tribute. The inclusion of the RAF prayer was inspired.

MA

I am writing to say thank you on behalf of the family for the service for Mum’s funeral. Your kindness and attention to detail about her life was much appreciated.

PK

Close family and friends who attended the service thought you gave a wonderful tribute to Mum and world like you to conduct theirs when the time comes….even those who travelled from Kent!

CJ

The effort you must have gone to in putting that service together was way beyond what I expected.

MK

I wish you could have joined us for a pint afterwards, so that you could have heard for yourself all the plaudits coming in your direction! Everyone thought the send off for D was to a tee and that was down to your care and attention.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the basis of your experience in taking funeral services?
As part of my varied career I practiced as an Anglican Clergyman for 13 years during which I presided over hundreds of traditional funerals. I have since presided over non-religious ceremonies. Following my time in the church I was a Teacher for 12 years.

Where do you offer your services?
Whilst based in Teignmouth, I am able to provide services further afield.

What’s included?
My services consist of a consultation which can either be in person or via the telephone in which we will discuss your requirements and what you would like to achieve in remembering your loved one. There is significant scope to fully customise the service to your wishes to provide a unique send off.

Do you offer the services of a Funeral Director?
No, you will need to appoint your own Funeral Director who I am more than happy to liaise with directly.
